In his previous robot performances, Ugo replaced his dancers with robots because it was cheaper and he could archive his performances more easily.
As a result, he discovered the convenience of working with robots: they don't complain, do exactly what you ask them to do and think in one and over. Socially, this is very easy.
In Soft Tissue, Ugo discovers the soft, fragile and insecure robot creatures that are hidden under the hard shell of robots.
For this project, Ugo explores the world of 'soft robotics' in collaboration with the VUB.
First try out during Chambres d'O in January 2026.
